Welcome to Northlake Runners

Welcome to the start up of Northlake Runners.

Northlake Runners is a running club, and experiment, and a project. Like most running clubs, we will soon be holding regular group runs and sharing training tips, race plans, menus, and horror stories. At the moment we don't have a physical meeting space, so we will try to get some momentum in the virtual world first.

The idea for this running club started when I moved to Kenmore last year and started regularly running the roads, sidewalks, and trails around town. Where was everyone? Occasionally I would be passed by a running on the Burke Gilman Trail, but usually my runs were lonely affairs.

So after one long run, I did some searching online for running groups and clubs up here on the north end of Lake Washington. Nothing. Surely there are other runners out there!

For lack of a better idea, I started this blog space, which I will try to keep interesting and updated. As we develop some followers we will start scheduling our first group runs and start looking for a meeting space where we can chat and hoist a beer or two. Stay tuned!
